The weekend is here! Great to see Michelle Wie set a new course record in the first round at the Ricoh Womens British Open currently being played at Kingsbarns Golf Links, Scotland. Later this year we will see many of world's greatest female golfers on the planet playing in the McKayson New Zealand Women's Open which will be held September 29-October 1st at Windross Farm. This will be one of the biggest golf events ever to be held in New Zealand.
This week, we are excited to showcase a new destination that PGNZ will be visiting next year with a new tour offering.
Malaysia, "Truly Asia", is a tropical country north of Singapore and south of Thailand. With over 200 high quality golf courses and a rich history of tourism, Malaysia is somewhat of an intriguing and rewarding golf travel destination. With Thailand and Vietnam nearby as exciting golf destinations, Malaysia is the gateway to a dynamic beautiful region, full of golf courses and unique travel experiences.
The best way to think of "golf in Malaysia" is the variety of golf course locations.
You can play in a rainforest, such as at the Ernie Els designed Teluk Datai Course.
You can play on a beachside course, such as the Els Club Desaru Coast
You can play in the mountains above the clouds, such as at the Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort
You can play amongst the limestone hills such as at the Templer Park Country Club
And you can play at TPC grade courses in heart of Malaysia's capital city. See the video below.
Combine these exciting choices with luxury resort style accommodation, a very high level of service, luxurious transport, mouthwatering cuisine plus the opportunity to experience Malaysia's finest tourist attractions, a premium 9 day golf tour of Malaysia is a wonderful introduction to "golf in Malaysia"
Golf in Malaysia, truly Asia!
