It's Saturday here in New Zealand. It has been an exciting week with a number of golf events around the country and world including the finals of the golf category at the World Masters Games played at Remuera Golf Club.

In our previous Saturday PGNZ Golf weekend getaway series we have been showcasing a number of regions which you can view here.

Today we are going to showcase a region that, like Nelson, is famous for its abundance of sunshine and wine.

The Hawkes Bay is located on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. There are several daily flights from Auckland to Napier or easily accessible from Taupo in a quick helicopter ride over the Kaimanawa and Kaweka Forest parks.

Just south of Napier, the art-deco capital of New Zealand, is Cape Kidnappers and the setting for New Zealand's highest ranked golf course in the top 100 golf courses of the world. Set on 6000 acres of pastureland, Cape Kidnappers at a glance offers a world class golf course and a world class luxury lodge.

A golf weekend here only requires staying at lodge known as The Farm at Cape Kidnappers and spending two or three luxurious nights while playing the course a couple of times followed up by a number of activities on offer. The views from the lodge property across the golf course and the Hawkes Bay are majestic and awe inspiring. See the video below.
